Lens-Artists Challenge #284 – Day and Night

This week, Sophia PHOTOGRAPHIAS encourages us to share the day and night throughout the cycle between them.

The blue hour arrived shortly before sunrising in Alaska:

“The sun was up when I awakened and the world was remade and shining.”

—  John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley in Search of America

Special thanks to Ann Sander (Slow Shutter Speed) for introducing this book to me through her post.

The world is shining under the sun of Texas. 🙂

It is always fun and can be challenging to take interesting bokeh images at night :

I accidently turned my camera, the result was unexpected:

When the night has come,
And the land is dark,
And the moon is the only light we’ll see.

— Ben E. King, “Stand by Me”

Sophia shows us the day and night cycle through her beautiful photos. Click here to join and visit her site.

  2. Amy, a beautiful response. I love the blue or in Alaska. What a nice place to start us. In contrast…what a gorgeous day in Texas for what looks like a walk. I too am grateful for Anne’s book suggestion. An impressive swirl of the camera. It looks like flowing hair.
