Lens Artists Photo Challenge #14: Windows

Ann-Christine said, “For this week – Find a favorite window and show us your special choice!”

The Dutch have some special ways to decorate their windows. A flower basket and decorative butterflies around these two window are beautiful, inviting as well.

Decorating an empty wall around the small window with a ceramic turtle, a few plant baskets, and a lovely painting is quite refreshing:

Lovely red and white window shutters. Do you see a cat sitting by the flower pot?:

Modern architects show their creative techniques of structuring unique windows:

This site is one of the popular sites of Amsterdam. All the windows face the canal:

Taking a photo on a raining day through a window:

This baby bird was peeking out the nest “window” for the first time while I was taking photos through my kitchen window:

  1. Wow – the composition on your photos, especially the architectural ones is really great. I particularly like the contrast in the one with the shutters. (but they’re all lovely)

  2. Lovely windows from The Netherlands, Amy. Beautiful, inviting, personalised and homely. Quite a variety. The shuttered windows are so characteristic.

PS Thanks for not including any of those red light district windows. You keep your “family rating”. LOL 🙂
