That is an amazing tunnel!!
Thank you, Aletta. It was a cool experience walking through the tunnel then the bridge. 🙂
A wondrous photo!
Thank you for visiting!
Good morning, Amy,
I would never have thought that that is a suspension bridge! What an interesting construction!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Good morning, Pit. I was standing on the suspension bridge taking the photo of the tunnel. Apologize for not being clear about that.
Have a nice weekend, may be a cold weekend. 🙂
But after that cold front, hopefully we might be able to see some leaves turning their colours.
Nice capture of an interesting structure, Amy! A great choice for this challenge.
Thank you for liking it. The structure was interesting and different for approaching a museum. 🙂
This is a stunning photo — great eye you have, Amy. And perfect for this challenge!
Thank you for your compliment! Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂
I.M. Pei is incredibly gifted — what a stunning tunnel entrance, and great photo too, Amy.
Thank you, Jet! I felt so luck to be able to see this unique architecture of his.
Thank you! So appreciate your comment!
Pleasant surprise to know it’s the work of I.M.Pei, one of my favorite architects. Thanks for the info, I will google more. And good take on this challenge!
Thank you, Jeremy! The design and the tasks are mind boggling. I did a post for Mihon sometime ago: https://shareandconnect.wordpress.com/2016/04/22/trees-for-the-earth-lets-get-planting-earth-day-theme-for-2016/
Oh wow! I love I M Pei’s buildings and gee I missed seeing this one. Thanks for sharing.👍😃
It’s not a tourist spot, takes about 2 and half hours from Kyoto by train and a slow bus to get there. 🙂
I see! It looks like such a tranquil spot. And it melds nicely into the surroundings which makes it novel and yet exciting to see. I M Pei’s design in architecture has wow factors to me. It is either you like or you don’t. Which is what makes his designs outstanding and unique.😊 Thanks again for sharing.
I really think you grab what IM Pei intended to achieve. So well said, Garfield. Insightful!
Often, the architecture that I admire is based on the understanding of the design and the stories behind. Thank you so much for your comment. 🙂
Lol! I love art history and architecture but cannot draw nor paint for nuts😂😂
Same here. 🙂
