This week, Patti (P.A. Moed) asks us to explore “the edges.”
My first choice is the Tent Rocks National Monument, New Mexico. The recreation trail ranges from 5,570 feet to 6,760 feet above sea level. I remember it was pretty challenging to hike up there to get this fantastic view.
Below is a breathtaking scenery captured from the Colorado Red Rocks Amphitheatre, 6,450 feet above sea level:
Dubrovnik’s City Walls offer an unforgettably scenic above town:
Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu:
The El Tajo gorge in Ronda, Spain is one of the few cities in the world that is naturally splitted into two halves. The view was captured from the famous Puente Nuevo bridge. How deep is the gorge? Maximum depth of 1,250 ft (380 m).
And, an incredible view from our hotel in Ronda:
Li River is known as “a hundred-mile scroll”. Cruising along the river, we enjoyed endless sceneries of green mountains, cliffs, and waterfalls.
Many thanks to Patti for offering us a wide range of opportunity for this theme. She encourages us to share photos “On the edge of buildings, cliffs, rivers, beaches, tables, shelves, your finger, or your dinner plate.” Click here to view her beautiful, inspiring images. Hope you will join us. Make a link to Patti’s post and tag Lens-Artists.
Last week Tina’s challenge enabled us to share our favorite images. I felt privileged to view Tina’s and all of your favorite photos and beautiful stories. Next week, Ann Christine will host “On Display”. Stay tuned. 🙂

Tent Rocks is particularly intriguing to me, Amy. I don’t recall ever seeing those magnificent sites! I love the way your creativity took you to remember these wonderful photos. 😉
Ohhh….what wonderful edges, Amy. That first image is stunning, but they’re all beautiful!! My son is going to Machu Picchu this week. 🙂 It’s on our list of places to visit… Hope you’re having a good week.
I bet you had a blast seeing all these amazing sights in person, Amy. The tent rocks in NM resemble Bryce Canyon’s hoodoos–perhaps they’re related? That El Tajo gorge is breathtaking!
Lovely. Ronda looks gorgeous (bad pun?) The Li river valley is something I was planning to do until COVID happened. Your photos show me that I should think of it again.
The view of Machu Picchu is fantastic, Amy. It is so lush, green and placed with such a spiritual feel. You captured the mood as it should be captured. And thank you for including Ronda. We lived a short distance from there and I would love to take my daughters back to get photos from where we had been. It is a fabulous city, with so much culture. Outstanding submissions, Amy.
Well, yes, these are all my favorites. 🙂 What a view from your hotel! Wouldn’t want to get to close to the edge of the balcony/open window after a few too many drinks, that’s for sure. 🙂
I really enjoyed all the high ridges and interesting peaks here, Amy. The El Tajo Gorge in Rondo Spain is incredible! And what a view from your hotel there.
