LAPC #231 – Favorite Images of 2022
This week, John (Journeys with Johnbo) leads“Favorite Images of 2022. This is such a perfect theme for opening LAPC 2023. John says, “The premise is simple. Simply share your favorite images captured in 2022”.
For this theme, my photo selections are more about the moments than how they were captured. Watching the clouds floating through mountains along the Alaska coastline every morning at around 4 am for a couple of hours was priceless. I took quite a few photos, but most of the time I forgot where… other times I didn’t bother to click.
After Thanksgiving, this part of Texas was ablaze with fall colors, it might be the rain in November. We enjoyed the gorgeous colors throughout the day and everyday for the first part of December.
2022 was the year that we felt comfortable to travel since the pandemic, and we made three trips. We really enjoy seeing the landscape of this part of the west country (from Rushmore through Wyoming, and to Utah).
At Grand Teton National Park, I spotted the reflections of a tire rim. Here is my fun click with my iPhone-13 P:
It was wonderful to take a break from WP. I planned to get a few projects done, but ended up spending much time with family and friends watching Cowboys (12-4) and TX Christian University (A private university with just 10,000 students,it to the NCAA Final.) football games. We really enjoyed good company, delicious food, and fun cooking. Those “projects” can wait. 🙂
Last but not least, Hawaii sunrising:
Good news brings joy and hope to our lives. Luckily, I spotted this one. If you have 7 minutes and would like to hear some good news in 2022, click here:

I can see why these photos are your favorites, Amy. Lovely. You have visited some beautiful places and have great memories to go along with them. All the best in 2023–to you and your family. I didn’t know you like football! But then again, you live in TX.😀😀

Hi Patti, I was so happy we could travel far again. I’ve enjoy football games because both teams have done so well, and TCU made to NCAA was miracle. Fun to watch with family and friends. 🙂

Such a nice collection Amy. You mentioned your photos were more about moments and that is certainly evident in your clicks. You went to so many different places which makes travel fun. Alaska and Hawaii, Wyoming? Utah. We live is such a vast and beautiful country and you showcased is so nicely here without even trying. Instead they were favorites. Very nice. Happy New Year.

There’ll always be a project, Amy, but time with family is special. Glad you could just relax and enjoy it. A bit like cloud gazing… you don’t always have to have a camera in your hands, but all of these are lovely.

That Hawaii sunrise is fantastic, and great spotting of the reflection in the rim!
We also decided to go on a long road trip [we didn’t want to fly yet] in 2022, all the way up to Vermont. I still have to blog about it yet.
Have a wonderful Sunday,
Pit

It will take some time still, Amy, before I can write about our Vermont trip, as I still haven’t finished our trip to West Texas. I’m awfully behind schedule. 😉
