Cee’s FOTD: GLOBE AMARANTH

This lovely tropical annual plant blooms continuously throughout summer and early fall.

It is very heat tolerant (probably not the heat we are dealing with this week) and fairly drought resistant, but grows best in full sun and regular moisture.

Luckily, the dragonfly flew in and stopped for a few seconds. 🙂 This is the first time I was able to capture the dragonfly from the front, and my camera was pretty close to it.

Everyday you get to enjoy beautiful flowers through Cee’s Flower of the Day. 🙂 Thank you, Cee!

  1. Dear Amy
Thanks for sharing your photographs. We love especially the one with the dragonfly like a helicopter.
Did you use a lensbaby to achieve this soft effect?

    • Thank you for your comment, FFOC! I have a lensbaby, but have never used it. These images and the dragonfly was captured with macro lens, I was trying to focus on the dragonfly, but he kept moving. 🙂 🙂
