This week, Tina invites us to share our “Favorite Images of 2021″. A perfect theme to welcome 2022.
The “Traces of Time” theme is one of my favorite themes of 2021, and I have received many encouraging responses. I found some of my favorite rock images in my file describing the evolving millions upon millions of years where flowing water and winds carved this sacred wonder.
I. J. Khanewala’s comment made my Trace of Times post a special one, “Geology, overlaid by ecology. Such wonderful photos. You set me thinking again about deep time.”
For the Nature Light, Laura Bloomsbury replied,”… some sumptuous scenes here Amy and you illustrate the different warm/cold tones at the most magical times of light.” Nature lights create magical moments throughout the day, and almost every day. I enjoy chasing the lights with my lens.
“A Day of My Week” theme was well received by our followers.
Sue (Mac’s Girl) said, “… And it’s always so much more enjoyable when you have the time to fully appreciate them.” Thank you, Sue for reminding us to find time to fully appreciate them. Here I captured the beauty of the tree branch over the pond and colorful leaves on the ground.
For the Special Moments, Suzanne said,”Good advice never hesitate in capturing a moment as it will never be the same second time around.” So true.
The historic winter outbreak occurred in Texas during the week of February, 2021, and Texas was not prepared for it. This was a rare chance for me to capture snowflakes with my micro lens.

Last but not least, special thanks to Tina, Patti, and Ann-Christine for their delication. They work tirelessly to lead/host, always strive for new ideas, and support our blog community; not to mention each theme and draft are carefully thought, discussed, and reviewed, before we hit the “publish” button. It has been a great pleasure and learning journey for me.
As Patti’s (pilotfishblog) once said, “Imagination–the creative impetus that has inspired all the artists whose works are displayed here. Imagination is also the key component that drives all of us in the blogging community to create and share our work.”
Last fall, I started exploring ICM and Multiple Exposure techiques. I was told that there was no right or wrong way to create using these features. So I had fun playing it. 🙂 David M’s Photo Blog has some cool ICM imges (click and search ICM there.)
