Lens-Artists Challenge #172: A Day of My Week

This week I had a day when we didn’t travel far and I had none of my usual commitments. I was up early in the morning and happy to see the morning dew.

This was a perfect day to visit the Fort Worth botanical garden. I was surprised to see many colorful flowers, and trees and plants were still pretty green for this time of the year.

Monarch butterflies were everywhere in the garden, and bees were very busy. Luckily, I captured the beautiful dragonflies as well.

I also took time to try some multiple exposure photography. I first captured three images and let the camera process them into one, then enhanced the images through Lightroom. Here is one of the results of my many attempts:

Just a half mile from the garden, we visited the Kimbell Museum. It has great collections of Impressionism, European arts, and African/Asian sculptures.

Earlier, the museum exhibited the collection of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Rockefeller III — Buddha, Shiva, Lotus, Dragon, the finest art collections of India, Japan and China in the U.S. The Kimbell apps walked us through, giving us a truly educational experience.

A day like this was delightful since I could take time to enjoy the beauty of both nature and  the art collections.
