Life in Colour: Gold ( Sept/2021)
For this month’s Life in colour, Jude encourages us to look for Gold. Gold is the colour of wealth, of power, of gods. For her theme, I choose a few archived images.
Celebrating Chinese New Year in Bangkok. Gold color during the CNY symbolizes a prosperity year:
The next two images were taken in the Palace of Thailand:
“Gold is the colour of wealth, of power, of gods” shows everywhere in the Palace.
I keep coming across Chinese restaurants called the Golden Dragon. I knew that a dragon is a good thing, the highest of the celestial animals, and intrinsically lucky. Now I know why they have to be golden too.

The photos show the opulence of the costuming and the Temple. I can only imagine how impressive they are in person, but your photos are beautiful, too!

Thailand and SE Asia does appear to be full of many golden temples and statues. Your header photo of the light coming through the clouds (crepuscular rays) is stunning. Thanks for joining me Amy xx
