Lens-Artists Challenge #152 – Shades and Shadows

This week, Ann-Christine leads LAPC — Shades and Shdows.

You can always find peaceful, shady spots in a garden.

These Elks found a shady picnic place to take a break:

And, papa Elk needed a nap and didn’t want to be bothered.

The Egret flew to a quiet, safe, and shady place for a rest.

Many thanks to Patti’s inspiring “From Large to Small” theme. We all have enjoyed your creative photos. Click here to view Ann-Christine’s beautiful photos of shades and shadows. Hope you will join us. Make a link of AC’s original post and remember the Lens-Artists tag.

    • So glad you like the elk images. They show up in this picnic area, they first put the baby elks in the center, and surrounded by sisters as the first layer and brother, then by mothers and aunts… to protect the babies.

  3. Egrets and other water birds are always making their escapes into places where it’s difficult to photograph them. You caught this one at just the right time. I enjoyed the single elk photo because I always marvel at the size of their antlers and at how they and moose can run through a forest without banging their antlers on every tree they pass!
