Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #146: Focusing on the Details

This week, Patti leads LAPC weekly theme– Focusing on the Details.

There is no magic in magic, it’s all in the details.

— Walt Disney

For this theme, I choose images of rocks/stones to show details of its formations, lines, textures, and patterns.

Details of the Postojna Cave, Slovenia:

There are many ways to capture details, as Dan Bailey said, “There is enough detail of different sizes in the world that you can focus on nearly anything, as long as you can accentuate that particular subject matter in a visually appealing way.”

Unique rocks, Banff National Park, Canada:

The Red Rock Amphitheatre, Colorado:

The Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, New Mexico:

A 300 million years old rock, at the Smithsonia Museum:

Patti encourages us to join the “Focusing on the Details”. Click here to enjoy her beautiful post and photos of details. She reminds us “… often, the details do a better job of telling the story.”

Many thanks to Priscilla for hosting “Getting to Know You” last week. So glad you shared you thoughts, stories, and wonderful photos through this special theme.
