Lens-Artists Challenge #134 – From Forgettable to Favorite

This week, Tina invits us to join “From Forgettable to Favorite”. As Tina said, “Used effectively, editing can help us to realize our vision by overcoming technical challenges and/or by facilitating our artistic interpretations.” So true.

Most of the time (pre Covid-19), on our way home from our trip, I took time to go over my photos through my camera view and delete all the bad shots. The ones I decided keep, I depended on Lightroom (Lr) for cropping, level/straighten, and/or adjusting brightness, and other basic editing options (but rarely lens corrections, changing colors, transforming…) Some of these images have become my favorits.

Here (below) is an interesting the before and after editing using Photoshop. I need to go back and learn this process all over again.

Topaz studio offers users wonderful opportunities of turning a photo into a painting-like image with various presets.

So glad you joined our last week’s “My Photography Journey”.  Photos from your childhood, to your parents, grandparents, and grandkids are all precious and beautiful. Your travel and camera images remind me the joy of my photography journey. More so, I admire your passion and commitment. Inspiring, indeed. I’m honored to host this theme.

Tina’s “From Forgettable to Favorite” teaches us how photo editing can help us to achieve artistic interpretations. Click here to see how she turned forgettable images to work of art.

We are excited to announce that next week’s challenge will be hosted by Sheetal of Sheetal Thinks Aloud. Be sure to check out her ever-interesting blog and watch for her post next Saturday at noon EST. Until then, stay safe and be kind.
