Terri said that she chose Lights for her Sunday Stills this week as she thought about the traditional holiday lights we all enjoy seeing this time of year.
Here is my entry:
We visit this residential area (outside of Dallas) once a year during the holiday season, except this year.
The lot of this house (below) stretches from the west to the east of the street. They must have at least 30 trees around the house with a tennis court and a swimming pool in their backyard. All trees and the house are decorated with Christmas lights during holidays.
The owner of the property once claimed that there were over 50,000 red light on this tree:

Your area certainly does know how to decorate for Christmas. I hope you had a nice one and I’m sending you best wishes for a healthy and happy New Year.
So very, very clear are these lights against the darkness. Thanks for always “wowing” us with your photography and interesting subject matter. Wishing you happy holidays and more to come in the new year.
Wow, I wonder whether they put up all the lights or had someone (many someones) do it for them. Our neighborhood is quite festive as well, so it’s fun to walk around at night and look at everyone’s lights.
Wow, just wow, Amy! Someone really invested time and resources into those lights. Both trees are amazing. I’m so glad you shared these wonderful light for Sunday Stills, Amy! Merry Christmas π²

Great holiday light captures Amy. They remind me how my family always took a traditional drive around looking at lights when we were kids.

We are not going to Dallas this Christmas. But, we see more Christmas lights in our neighborhood than last year.

Great choices and thanks for the tour! I always ask for a tour of the neighbourhood to see the lights if I’m around in the US in December.

Glad you enjoyed the tour, Su. There are a couple areas in Dallas are even more spectacle.

It does make you wonder… This area creates traffic jam during holidays, and the road is narrow.
