Mr. G at the park helps me make an announcement for this week’s challenge, “A Photo Walk”.
“Look at her camera…” (Mr. B was very curious.)
My photo walk was around the Cibolo Nature Centers in Boernie, a charming Texas Hill Country town.
The Cibolo Nature Center & Farm once was the Herff Ranch, established in 1852 by pioneer surgeon Dr. Ferdinand Herff. Much of the original 10,000-acre ranch has been developed, but the Friends of the Cibolo Wilderness group was able to acquire 62 acres of historic farmland across Cibolo Creek to preserve its natural heritage.
There is a boardwalk over the swamp land, the prairie with native grasses and the creek, lined with cypress trees.
Taking photos as you walk and explore is fun, but don’t forget to pause for a moment to observe the surroundings or activity and enjoy your photo walk. 🙂
You are invited to share your photo walk, whether park, beach or street. As always, we are looking forward to seeing your creative responses. In your post, include a link here and use the Lens-Artists tag so that everyone can find your post in the WP Reader. Finally, we hope you’ll join us next week when our special guest host Biasini, Anne Leueen’s clever horse, hosts our next challenge on her always-interesting blogHorse Addict.
Many thanks to Patti for last week’s Symmetry theme. Patti introduced this photography topic via her beautiful photos of nature, architecture, and artwork. I have learned so much from her. Have you seen these:
