Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #107 – Winter

This week, Ann-Christine leads the winter theme.

January and part of February can be the coldest month of the year in Texas. Normally, Central Texas is between 60 and 50 F during the day and 30s at night, with occasional cold spells.

The photos below were taken in Austin in January, 2020. It was a sunny and warm weekend. Before noon, it reached to low 70 F.

Birding in February along the Gulf Coast:

We also like to visit Florida and Hawaii for a winter escape.

The Big Island of Hawaii:

Sarasota Beach, Florida:

The coldest weather I have experienced in recent years was our birding trip in Ohio in 2019. I had to put on two down Jackets borrowed from my friend; and, it was May.

We are looking forward to seeing your winter photos and stories. Be sure to visit Ann-Christine’s beautiful snow photos and make a link to her post.

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be starting August with a special Guest Host, Xenia at Tranature and Whippet Wisdom.
