Sandy’s Friendly Friday: SHADOWS

For this week’s Sandy invites us to share photos that feature shadows

Photographers suggest, “Create an image of the object with its shadow, or just show only the shadow, and cut off the real object.” First thing in the morning after sunrise, and when the sun is low in the sky.

Here is my entry:

This is one of my favorite images of shadows:

  1. Lovely set of shadows, Amy. I particularly like the tree shadow and and the tree shadows on the house.

I recently found this quote in an article:
“Most people think that shadows follow, precede or surround beings or objects. The truth is that they also surround words, ideas, desires, deeds, impulses and memories.”
    Elie Wiesel

    Have a good weekend. x

  2. I am an avid fan of shadows, and what a world opens up when your eyes take in this earthly delight. Your photos here are truly wonderful, Amy. I love the full tree in the second image. And yes, I’m with you, that last photo is a shadow work of art. Lovely post.
