Lens-Artists Challenge #100 – The Long and Winding Road

This week, Tina invites us to share images and thoughts about the long and winding Road.

One of the side trips of our Croatia tour (September, 2019) was to Mostar, Bostia. The road was long and winding, it took 3 hours to get there. To avoid the morning traffic, we were asked to be on the bus before 6:30 am.

The last glimpse of the Plitvice Lakes National Park through our bus window.

On the way to Mostar, we enjoyed the endless picturesque views.

Driving back to Croatia was another 3 hours. We saw many beautiful villages in Croatia.

This 6-hour round trip was long, but I enjoyed the beautiful scenery every minute of it. On the bus, I noticed most people were taking a nap. Travel can be tiring, say the least.

It’d be nice, I thought, if our bus driver would stop somewhere to let us off the bus and enjoy the scenery for a little while. Looking down from the bus window, I knew it was a wishful thinking.

Our bus driver ensured us that he had six sensors to guide him. He said that in some areas he turned on all six sensors simultaneously.

At the end of the day, we all agreed, including the ones who took a long nap, this 6-hour bus drive was one of the most beautiful scenery we’d seen. 🙂

I would like to take the opportunity to thank our blog friends for joining in last week’s “Old and New”. You have broadened the horizon of this theme. Your photos and stories are not only beautiful but also inspiring and creative. Last but not the least, thank you for giving me the pleasure of hosting this theme.

Tina leads this week’s Long and Winding Road theme.  Her photos are beautiful, words powerful and insightful.  Click here to visit. If you join us, be sure to link your post to Tina’s original post and to include the Lens-Artists Tag.

Finally, we are excited to announce that next week the Lens-Artists team will be bringing you a very special event. Cee of Ceenphotography has graciously agreed to lead us on our next challenge. All four members of the Lens-Artists team will join Cee next Saturday at noon EST in response to her challenge subject. We look forward to seeing where she leads us, and hope you’ll join the fun.
