Lens-Artists Challenge #95 – ALL WET

This week, Tina hosts “All Wet” theme.

“Do not be angry with the rain; it simply does not know how to fall upwards.” ― Vladimir Nabokov

September, 2019, we made a trip to Croatia and Slovenia. One of the highlights of this trip was the picturesque Lake Bled in Slovenia, we were all so looking forward to it. It rained the day we arrived, throughout the night, and the next morning. Somehow, we manged to visit the oldest medieval Bled Castle, took a boat tour along the lake, and went to the top of the cliff above the lake.

Some People Feel the Rain. Others Just Get Wet.  — Roger Miller

“Rain is grace; rain is the sky condescending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life.”

–John Updike

The Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia features a string of 16 turquoise lakes linked by 92 waterfalls and cascades, surrounded by densely wooded mountains and lush vegetation. It was a perfect day for the lake tour. Walking on the narrow path through waterfalls and lakes, in some areas you felt like you were walking in the rain; it was easy to get wet.

This little guy didn’t mind to get wet. 🙂

Thank you so much for sharing photos and stories through the “At Home” photo challenge last week. I felt privileged to visit your beautiful home, special spot, pets, yard, flowers, birds, and places close to your home. Appreciate your likes and thoughtful comments. 🙂

  3. Excellent. I love the raindrops on the lake, the superb greens, and amazing mid-air capture of the dolphin. Very well done. (I always like water drops on flowers. That’s a given. Little clear glass beads.)

  4. Ohh….those tulips and the dolphin are my favorites, Amy. You made the best of a rainy day in Croatia. Good for you! Sometimes when we’re traveling, we pretend like the bad weather doesn’t matter!! I hope you and your family are well.😊😊

  5. Did you hike up the hill at the opposite end of Lake Bled where you can see BOTH the castle and the island from high up? It was raining during my visit too. Your green Plitvice Lake photo is nice, and I like it. Thanks for sharing.

    • We only went up to the castle. It must be beautiful to see both the castle and the island from high up! So glad to see your photo this week. 🙂
