Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #94: At Home
Due to the lockdown, we are spending more time at home. But, hopefully this isn’t limiting our interest in photographing. This week, we invite you to share photos taken at home.
“Home is a shelter from storms-all sorts of storms.”-William J. Bennett
This little corner enables me to escape from TV news and my laptop. Here I can have a quiet moment to read and chat on my iPhone.
“There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort.” –Jane Austen
I found the photo below in my archives. I still like the sunlight and shadow of this image. To make it more interesting, I added some texture to it.
“The smell of good bread baking, like the sound of lightly flowing water, is indescribable in its evocation of innocence and delight…”
~M.F.K. Fisher, The Art of Eating
Now, we have time to make comfort food in our kitchen. I wish I could bake bread like Whole Foods does.
A few years ago, mama and papa woodpecker raised their babies in our backyard. Using binoculars, hubby and I were able to watch papa and mama take turns feeding the babies day in and day out. When mama came home with mouthful of food, she always dashed to the nest. When papa came home he’d first climb above and around the nest to make sure it was safe before feeding his babies.
Why not find something interesting to help you practice your photography skills at home? 🙂
We are looking forward to seeing your photos and stories at home, and perhaps your yard/garden, pet, kids, collections, kitchen/cooking, and more.
At Home, I watched Robert De Niro’s “Everybody’s Fine”. The movie ended with the song–“I want to come home” by Paul McCartney.
