Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #84: Narrow

If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.

After walking through a long, winding, and narrow wooden path in the Plitvice Lakes, Croatia, we got to enjoy the endless waterfalls, lakes, and into the beautiful woods.

The Metropol Parasol in the old town of Seville is a gigantic, undulating canopy shaped like five waffle-patterned structures. Walked along the narrow path of the parasol, we had a chance to enjoy the beautiful night scenes of the city.

Hiking through the long, narrow path of Cinque Terre from Monterosso al Mare to Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore was an adventure. And, we did it twice in two different trips.

Layers and layers of narrow stunning paths in Antelope,Arizona led us into the fascinating canyon.

In Egypt, we almost always had to go through a narrow gate and a hallway before approaching a grand temple or tomb.

This tall and narrow obelisk has been standing at the gate of the Luxor Temple since 1390 BC. Two 80 foot (25m) pink granite obelisks once were there, the other was removed in 1831 and reerected in the Place de la Concorde in Paris.

Travel has taught me that once we go through a narrow path, alley, and/or road with a little patience, at the end it always opens up to pleasant surprises. The experience certainly has broadened my horizon allowing me to see the world through different eyes. Thus, I choose “narrow” for this week’s theme.
