Lens Artists Photo Challenge #79: A Window With A View

Our Lens Artists Photo Challenge for this week is “A Window With A View”.

“You can’t make an architect. But you can open the doors and windows toward the light as you see it.”

Frank Lloyd Wright

Miho Museum, Japan (Designed by I.M. Pei). The large window panels in the lounge give a stunning view of the mountains, sky, and pine trees. To save trees, Mr. Pei replanted 7,000 trees after finishing this architectural project.

A window with a view from outside of the Glasshouse. The Glasshouse is the centerpiece of Chihuly Garden and Glass, 40-foot tall, glass and steel structure covering 4,500 square feet of light-filled space. It is the result of Chihuly’s lifelong appreciation for conservatories.

“There’s a world out there. Open a window, and it’s there.”

Robin Williams

There was a line of arched windows on the second floors of the Castle of the Rockies, Banff National Park, Canada facing the Rockies. A perfect place to enjoy the mountain view through these windows. The image below was captured in the early morning.

This window in Macha Picchu has been there for 500 years:

“There is a window from one heart to another heart.”

Rumi

Car windows are like mobile windows. When the car is on the road, the scenery changes every few seconds. It is always challenging to capture a beautiful scene from the passenger side. It seems I’m always half a second late, but I keep trying. 🙂

Clicking on the freeway is even more challenging. Surprisingly, iPhone 11 did capture this scene I wanted.

Mama Woodpecker stuck her head out from her nest window. She was waiting for Papa to come home to feed their hungry babies.

Many thanks to Ann-Christine for her “Special Spot Shots” theme. In her post, she gave us a fabulous tour of the Diocletian’s Palace. Thank you for sharing your special spot shots. Have you seen these:

Wendy’s (My Plaid Heart for the love of Scotland) beautiful special spot shots.

SandyL (The Sandy Chronicles): “The Pacific is not only changeable, it can be dark and foreboding.” Sandy knows how to capture the changeable scenes.

Welcome, Sofia (photographias photography and life) and Sarah (Art Expedition)!

Devastating Australia bush fires… Stay safe, dear friends.

Brian (Bushboy): “A special spot on my place is the waterhole.”

This week, we invite you to explore “A Window With A View”. Share with us photos you’ve captured through windows. Use our “Lens Artists” tag. If tagging is new to you, take a lookWhy Tag and Tag Instructions.  Also link here to my original post. (Links from the Reader are not working correctly.) As always, Ann-Christine, Patti, Tina, and I are looking forward to seeing your window views via your lens.

Stay tuned for Tina’s (Travels and Trifles) LAPC #80 on January 18th.
