Lens-Artists Challenge #78: Special Spot Shots

This week, Ann-Christine invites us to share our special spot shots.

Riverwalk of San Antonio, Texas is one story down from the downtown busy  streets, lined by bars, shops, restaurants, nature, public artwork, and the historic missions. This beautiful river walk has been expanded to 15 miles.

Visitors can take a pleasant walk or a slow river boat to enjoy the sightseeing. During the weekends or holidays, you can enjoy fun celebrations, special local exhibits, various activities, and/or festival events

These photos were captured the evening before New Year’s Eve with my iPhone 11, while eating outside of a restaurant with a few good friends. It was a busy evening, we were lucky to get a table by the river.

After taking a walk along the river or a boat tour, you can walk up to the upper lever street to take a horse carriage ride. 🙂

Walking toward the end of the south side of the Riverwalk, you can stop at the Pearl District and the Hotel Emma for a nice break.

Before becoming a hotel, Hotel Emma was an American brewery established in 1881 as the J.B. Behloradsky Brewery. In 2012, Architects and designers concentrated on preserving as much of the original structure and machinery as possible. Amazingly, they integrated these components into the overall design of this unique hotel.

The hotel has a bar, club room, beautiful courtyard, restaurant, and a large library. Hotel Emma is named after Emma Koehler, wife of Pearl President Otto Koehler.

Ann-Christine encourages us to share, “Now we are looking forward to seeing Your very special spot shots – maybe a room in your home, a garden, a mountain, a city, an exhibition, a lovely café…a place that is special to you!”

Be sure to link to Ann-Christine’s original post, (Links posted within the Reader are not working correctly) and to use the Lens-Artists tag to help us find you. And, of course. As always, Ann-Christine, Patti, Tina and I hope you will join us.

I will host next week’s LAPC #79. See you later.
