Changing Seasons, October 2019

Yosemite

Not just a great valley, but a shrine to human foresight, the strength of granite, the power of glaciers, the persistence of life, and the tranquility of the High Sierra.    — National Park Service

Tunnel View is one of the most famous views of Yosemite Valley. Here you can see El Capitan and Bridalveil Fall rising from Yosemite Valley

Yosemite evokes a sense of inspiration, wonder, and mystique. Some call it magical.”

— Leonard McKenzie

A few trees here and there were turning fall colors. Wandering around the park, I couldn’t help to wonder how I managed to hike up with hubby many years ago.

As William Neill called it “a vision of Eden, of heaven, of paradise.”

These photos were taken with iPhone 11. Photo were processed through the Lightroom, and #4 via the Topaz Studio.

This is my first time joining in Su Leslie’s Changing Seasons. It”s a monthly challenge allowing us to “post 5-20 photos in a gallery that you feel represent your month”. I selected 5 photos for my first submission to this wonder theme. If you want to join, click the link to read the guidelines.

  2. Believe it or not, Amy, I was just looking at my archived photos from Yosemite this afternoon. I have some from every season except heavy winter! I love Yosemite and even my photos, which aren’t nearly as clear and excellent as yours, bring me back and I smile. You’ve done a wonderful job of capturing some of the beauty. Because of everything is so huge, I think the photos are kind of challenging within the park. You have a real talent! 🙂

    • Thank you so much for your compliment. You have seen Yosemite every season expect heavy winter, I envy you! I think the current digital camera and smart phone have made so easy and fun for us to take photos. 🙂

  3. Wow. I wish I had made it to Yosemite when I lived in the States, sigh, perhaps one day I’ll go there. Love that first picture. And yeah to another changing seasons blogger – I’m new myself, just 3 months in.
