Here’s where negative space works in your favor.

Thank you for your comment, Michael. 🙂
It’s really to true if you have a small subject isolated against a negative space, you may very suddenly have a work of art. Look at my most recent post. The ship all by itself without context would be nothing.
I love your most recent post, it really is work of art.
For the last one, I removed some unwanted branches. 🙂
Thank you very much. As for the Second part of your comment, you removed some complication and added negative space which simplified the image and increased focus on your subject. You’re an artist, not a journalist.
Thank you, Michael! PS made it easier for the task, still pretty time-consuming. 🙂

Thank you, Nora!
I love hearing them twittering high in the sky above me as the sun sets around my home.
I can imaging… that is so lovely, Joseph!
Great shots for small subjects!
Thank you, Hien! Lovely little birds. 🙂
They are so cute! But they look cold! 😀
They are very good subjects for B&W. 🙂
It was still cold in north, it’s warmer now. Glad you enjoyed these. 🙂
Especially like the shot of them all lined up on the branch, Amy!
Aren’t they cute? Thank you for visiting, Sandy! 🙂
Beautiful in color and in b&w. Nicely captured. ❤️
Thank you, Irene! Fun to capture birds in photos. 🙂
That branch with the birds reminded me of pussy willow.
You’re right, the branch does look like pissy willow. 🙂
Lovely boys 🐥🐥🐥 there are so nice 🥰 ! Bon week-end Amy 😘
Aren’t they? 💗🐥 Fun to watch and capture them in photos. 🥰 Avon weekend, My Friend! 😊
Yes totally lovable 😊😍❤️ ! TY Amy 🙏🏻
Wonderful photos, Amy.
Thank you, Jet!
We have these in the park where I walk. They seem to sit about that far apart much of the time, which is amusing. They dart about so quickly when in flight.
They are cute and move very fast. These were just sitting there. Fun to watch birds when you walk. 🙂
I love the one of the branch particularly – all in a row! 🙂
Thank you, Paul. They were in the middle of the lake. I had to use 300 mm lens to capture them. 🙂
Wow, I tip my hat.
Amy, your smalls are so very precious. I can’t even begin to pick a favorite. 😀
It’s a fun topic. Thank you, Cee!
So nice little ones – good in B&W!
Thank you, AC! 🐥💗
My favourite is the swallows on the branch. Black and white nature photos are different. I find them serene. It could be a grey day or perhaps it is twilight,
just before the sun completely sets. Lovely photos 🙂
You are right, it was a grey day, and started raining after I took a few shots. 🙂 Thank you for your lovely comment, Kathy. 🙂
Love you bird images!! So pretty.
Thank you, Angela!
I love that last photo with the little guys all lined up! Charming, Amy!
They were there enjoying the quiet morning. So glad you enjoyed this one. 🐥 🙂
I know how tiny these birds are, Amy. Great images!! NICE! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
They are everywhere. Thank you for visiting, Amy!
Amy, I adore the last image. It is a chorus of birds to entertain.
Thank you, Sally! It surely looks like a chorus. 🙂
That first picture got my attention! Cute little ones! Beautiful my friend!
Lucky to capture them in photos, they move fast. 🙂
Thank you, Nancy!
