Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #11: Small Is Beautiful

This tiny ladybug showed up after a good rain.
Small wooden plaques like these are common in Japanese Shrines. People write their prayers or wishes carefully on the plaque wishing their loved ones happiness and health.
The wall below was covered with many smaller Japanese characters of love, friendship, happiness, harmony, … They were written by Japanese children. This little girl was looking at the character of love:
Aaron Siskind’s quote also explains why I still value some of my photos for sentimental reasons although they didn’t follow any of classic photographic techniques or didn’t have the right camera setting. 🙂
