Mary’s From Clicking To Creating

This status in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York City is a replica of Michelangelo’s famous Pietà  sculpture in St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican.

Due to dim light in the cathedral, I cranked up the ISO to get a fast shutter speed, inevitably

it caused noise in the photo.

So I took the photo to the Lightroom (Lr) for help. First, I cropped, reduced the noise, and made a few adjustments through the basic panel, then added vignetting, also used Lr brush for re-touching.

I then took a further step to convert it into black and white through the Silver Efex Pro.

Here is the result for this week’s “From Clicking To Creating”:

Looking forward to hearing your feedback.

This week, Mary is introducing Edward S. Curtis. She says, “He wanted to document, and tell the stories of the Native Americans before they completely disappeared, and I feel the same way about the wild horses…” Take a look.

Here is a behind-the-scene episode of the World Cup:

Following a devastating 3-2 loss to Belgium — where Japan took a 2-0 lead in the second half before losing in stoppage time — the Japanese players made sure to leave their dressing room at Rostov Arena completely spotless, according to Yahoo.com.  This news reminds the spotless environment in Japan and how serious they are about recycling. It’s way of life in Japan!
