Rock Textures

In May 2015, we made a trip to the Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon.  In between, we stopped at the Lake Powell for a day trip, saw some stunning views. What makes the lake so unique is the contrast between the deep clear blue waters and stark red sandstone rocks with little or no vegetation.

At the Lake Powell, we took a boat tour to cruise through the most breathtaking views of Antelope and Navajo Canyons.

Michael Andrew (dawn2dawn) is a remarkable photographer. He has posted a series of the spectacular scenes of the Zion National Park. It’s a must-see site. Thank you, Michael for taking us there!

  1. Great captures, Amy! I’m still trying to decide which one I like best. Maybe the first one, because of the sloping rochs [give it a nice diagonal accent] and the dead tree in the foreground. But then, I like the others, too, because of the clouds mainly.
    Have a great day,
