Unusual Captures

I have never seen an egret extends its neck like these two here before. Normally, the long neck is s-curved and in flight the long neck is tucked in. Unusual captures, but it was fun to watch. πŸ™‚

  1. Good afternoon, Amy. What a great catch! Lovely photos! I wonder in what condition they would do that. Very interesting. I don’t think I have ever seen so many of them. I probably would stay and watch the whole day πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you, Helen. It was spring, so some male birds were more active than others. I’m guessing the female (left side) was responding to the male in the first photo, I watched the male (right) trying to impress here for a while.
So glad you enjoyed it. πŸ™‚
