Monochrome Madness

Here are the Black and White photos I have submitted to Leanne Cole Monochrome Madness during the past few weeks.

This lonely tree was captured while we were walking along a trail near Santa Fe:

Reflections of the Lady Bird Lake in Austin by the Ziker Park.

Below was my submission for March shadow them. Leanne posted 31 creative mono images.

This was taken at the Pattaya Beach in Thailand. It’s an outdoor seafood restaurant right by the beach, runs almost a mile long.

Leanne’s MM theme for April is culture.

  1. There is something about black and white photography that adds a whole different dimension than can not be captured in color photographs. Maybe it has something to do with the fact color photography never reproduces the colors the way the eyes see color? Or maybe it is the fact in low light we see in black and white? All four images are stunning.

    • Thank you so much, Patrick for your thoughtful comment. The first and the last looked like a complete different photo after converting to BnW. I was so surprised. The shady one gave an entire different mood in BnW. 🙂
