Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Roofs (Seattle)

One of noticeable changes of housing in Seattle suburbs is the demolitions of old houses, and they are replaced by boxlike houses. New stack of townhomes (three levels) made living space larger and are accommodating the increasing demand for housing in Seattle. I just hope old houses like these two will be well preserved.

  1. Many refer to the three story, high density, box structures as Stack & Packs. They seem to be all they are building in our area. Spaced six feet from each other and start at $650k.I will be keeping my old house as it is for as long as I’m alive.

  2. Good morning, Amy. I would love to trade my boxlike to one of these houses 😉 Entering my neighbor’s uncle’s old farm house, I had that “home” feeling , which I hadn’t experienced for many years.
    Have a great day!

    • Good Saturday morning, Helen! Many old houses with characters probably will be replaced sooner than later in those populated cities. I’m so glad I ran into these two beautiful old houses during my morning walk in the neighborhood.
