#400 Is One Light…

May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near

(quote from IRISH BLESSINGS)

Rommel (THE SOPHOMORE SLUMP) took 1 year, 8 months and 27 days to complete his 400th post. He says, “It wasn’t pain stalking at all to make. It only took a lot of editing and redundant playbacks. The most headache was actually looking for the images and the words from bloggers.😀” Yep, he poked my site numerous times, it probably gave him some serious headache.

Rommel, you were there to cheer me when I just started my blog, when I had only 4, 5 viewers. I didn’t know my photos were so unbearably bad until…, but you clicked every time and gave encouraging comments, you were gracious, humorous… At the same time, you took time to show us how the best to share, blog, and connect in the blogosphere; and never fail to introduce the new WP kids on the blog block.

ll get choked up whenever I think of your “PEOPLE” post. Your “One Light” is very special:

“When darkness befalls …

One light can warm a heart. Enlightenment.

One light can cure a troubled mind. Clarity.

One light can bring closure. Vision.

One light can guide a lost soul. Illumination.

One light can lit up someone’s entire world.”

#400 is one light that warm many, many bloggers’ hearts and that lit up our blog community. Thank you, Rommel!

  1. Ow wow! That Rommel guy sounds like a very awesome fella. 🙂 You gave me headache only slightly. I had in mind all along one of your Grand Canyon pics, but I had to decide to change it when I saw your Jubilant Dancing pic. Ultimately, the Dancing pic suits more with the video. My 400th does have a lot of newbies or blogs that aren’t so popular. It wasn’t exactly my intent. It just so happened to be that way, which I’m kind of glad that it did.
I drifted from your blog as I don’t blog as regularly as I did before. Even now, it’s taking me long time to respond back or visit other blogs. My apology.
And Last …Thank you, thank you, thank you, Amy for this. I wasn’t expecting for people to be making a blogpost on me. It’s such a tremendous tribute.
And like I’ve said before, it was all you. You became one of the greatest because of your effort and seamless talent.

    • Thank you, Rommel for taking time to reply.
One of the things that I learned from you about blogging was that blog and making post is not all about “me”, but about other people, places, things that we care. Now I have a little more time to work on challenges/themes and taking/making photos. 🙂
Knowing you are around makes me very happy. I do visit yours but don’t want to leave any marks, I don’t want you to feel obligated to visit my site since I know how busy you are.
I meant everything I said in this post and tried hard not to write a lengthy one, didn’t want to give you headache again. 🙂
I love the photo you picked. I’ll never get a shot like this one, it was a pure luck.
You, your words, your photos shine through the blogosphere. It’s so wonderful to see the light there. 🙂
      Take care, Rommel.

Thank you for visiting! Love to hear from you...
