The above photo is After. I combined three filters of the EFex Pro to get this result. Below is Before (the original version).

This week Ben’s ABF is water fountain. Ben says, “The philosophical quality of photography i find is most aptly found in picture of water frozen in time. Photography is freezes a moment for us to look back and see it unaltered…” Take a look.Β

  1. I really like both of these photos – the filtering really adds depth. The lobby photo is absolutely amazing! Whoever owns that lobby needs to have that photo!

  2. I need a light (Warren G ft. Nate Dogg).
I like this song, but for me personally I donΒ΄t need a light to smoke anything: What I am looking for is some light, especially sunlight, such as these. Once again, great job. Well done πŸ™‚

  3. I love both your responses to these challenges, Amy! Your edits made a pretty picture exciting and mysterious πŸ™‚ And the B & W photo is great. It looks like the sitting corner was an island in a sea!

    • Thank you, Tiny! The Efex filters made it a little easier for retouching (if you know which one to pick). That is a lovely comment for B&W photo. I need to go back and sit there to feel it… πŸ™‚

  4. I’m for the natural one (though both are wonderful) but it’s fascinating that each version seems to highlight different details. I’d expect filtering to change the form but here it also changes the content. Fantastic light capture in the lobby photograph.

    • Thank you, Simon! It has a whole range of filters. It can be confusing… I have learned from Stacy (a blog friend) to combine several filters for just one photo. This one (the Efex Pro) is made by Google. Enjoy the weekend! Looking forward to reading more of the Magnifient Seven.
