CYY Week 10: Using 2/3 of Your Photo Frame

For Cee’s Compoose Your Photo Week #10

After practicing the Rule of Thirds through CCY last week, Cee extends to the Magic of Two-Thirds. Cee explains, “Instead of putting your subject in one third of the frame, use two-thirds, leaving the rest bokeh or negative space to accent your subject.”

The following photo was taken with slower shuttle speed (1/25 sec.), but I didn’t bring my tripod.

The dark shady area of the following photo below is the shadow of a mountain.

Many thanks to Cee for the featured award. It means a lot to me. I began following Cee when I just started posting photos. I thought I had a lot to learn from Cee then; now I know I have even more to learn from her.

Sonel (Sonel’s World) has taught us about insects through her blog. This week, Sonel is sharing butterfly stories collected from Papago Tribe, Ancient Greek, Mexico, Native Americans, Mayans, etc. You really don’t want to miss it. Sonel then wrapped up her beautiful post with a moving love story:

“… Every day Takahama went to the cemetery, whether the air was fragrant with summer breeze or thick with falling snow.

Every day he went to her grave and prayed for her happiness, swept the tomb and set flowers there.

When Takahama was dying, and he could no longer perform his loving task, Akiko came for him. That white butterfly was her sweet and loving soul.”

Thank you so much, Sonel. ❤
