Great trio photos!
Thank you, Hien! 🙂
They still have a horse detachment? Our army still has a camel division for desert surveillance! 😀
The parade included the horse detachment, I don’t know they still do… Camel division sounds really cool. 😀

It is, and nothing better patrols an utterly barren desert border hundreds of miles long. I like the idea of the cavalry regiment though, reminds you of the old westerns, “Relax guys, the cavalry’s here.” 😀
They do look cool riding on horses. I just don’t want to see guns!
Great parade. The pictures show so much.
Thank you for your comment! 🙂
What a darling picture of that little girl, Amy. Really enjoyed this post and I thank you for it. I hope you have a wonderful day. Love, Amy
Such a brave little girl! So glad you like it. Hope you are having a great Sunday ! 🙂
Fun shots, Amy! I love the dog and the little girl!
It was a fun parade. Thank you, Cathy! 🙂
I love your choice of subject matter, Amy. It’s a big parade, and so much to capture, so many trios, but this collection of the real cowboys and gorgeous horses really grabs the spirit. And the little girl, well, she’s just adorable, and the howling dog, terrific. Fun post.
Thank you for your compliment, Jet! It was a big parade, cowboys, cowgirls, dogs, sheep, cows, along with horses. 🙂 The little girl was so cute and brave. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great pictures, Amy! 🙂 Where was that parade? I had hoped to catch some shot at the Heritage Trail here in Fredericksburg early this year, but it was called oo due to the rains. Maybe next year.
Have a great Sunday, and stay warm,
Thank you, Pit! This is the annual parade in SAT. I heard that Houston has one too.

Such sweet photos. Reminds me of the Calgary Stampede.
This event goes on for 12 days. I think there are some similarities between Texas and Calgary. 🙂
Brave little girl!
She sure is, and it’s not a short ride. Thank you, Roslyn!
Horses depict energy and the girl stole the show ! I liked the way you attached a little story to your excellent pictures.
It’s a very fun annual event, among other activities, it lasts almost two weeks.

A different parade, I especially enjoy watching horses, cows, sheep, and dogs. 🙂

Looks like a fun and interesting parade. The guy with the eye patch in the first photo is a nice touch.
So glad you notice the eye patch. It must be a lot of work for them to bring their horses and wagons.
