After Before Forum Week 60 (Architecture, Austin)

Downtown Austin, Texas

The above is the before version. My first step I took was to crop the photo and make basic adjustments in the LR. After this quick process, I move the photo to the Efex Pro 4, there I did a couple of layers of enhancement:

I then went to the Silver Efex and converted the photo into B&W. The last step was to go back to LR and make minor retouch — increasing the sharpness of the flag and adding vignette.

Here is the After version:

  1. Super job. I love the shadow of the little cloud on the lower left of the building. Comparing the color and the b&w version… the latter treatment is perfect for this subject.

  2. Spectacularly transformed Amy!The first one is now strikingly soaring skyward!
The b/w is so classic and amazingly emphasises the architectural features and the cloudy skies! Most exceptional work,my friend 🙂 ❤ xxx

  3. Excellent conversion into B&W. Great atmosphere. I am impressed by the after image. A variation could be to leave the American flag in color while the rest is monochrome. Have a great weekend, Amy. Smiles. Reinhold
