Lucky shots! Thank you Hien 🙂
Come on, Amy. No one can be this lucky all the time. You are a GREAT photographer!! 😉
Such a high praise, Helen! I was so excite for posting these photos, didn’t even notice the typo for bird. 😳
I have to chime in on Helen’s comment – because whew – you do seem to have the best timing – and love this take on the wpc 🙂
Wow! Getting up early is worth it 🙂
Yeah, I get to shoot the pics. 🙂
Good timing ! And yes, getting early is worth it 🙂
Yep, got to be up as early as the birds. 🙂 Thank you for visiting!

I didn’t see the actions, I was on the other end of the lake. But, I knew something was going on there, I just kept clicking… Thank you for you kind comment, Dina! 🙂
Happy I could share it with you, Marion! Thank you. 🙂
Very good early bird, Amy! Fine shots!
Thank you, Pike!
Lucky shot. 🙂 Thank you, Tom!
Perfect time, amazing shot Amy!
Right timing, I could see the actions from a distance until I got the shots! Thank you, Anna!
Cool pic and you are always lucky with timing. You too have a happy sunday.
Probably 90% of time, I don’t see any bird actions and capture any action; and when I do, maybe less then 0.5% of these are good to post… Thank you for visiting and commenting, Rashmik! 🙂
Happy weekend to you also! Good shots!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy to see you, CC! It hasn’t be hot like last year this time that’s nice. 🙂

Thank you, Leya! I was so lucky… 🙂
Great captures. Love them.
Thank you for your comment, Raewyn! 🙂
Fantastic captures. I witnessed ‘the steal’ numerous times along the TX Gulf Coast and always felt sorry for the bird that did all the work only to have his meal stolen in the end.
Wow, you witnessed it? I didn’t know what was going on until I saw these shots. 🙂 I felt bad for this little bird, she/he was so shocked…
What a catch!
Thank you for your visit, Rosy! Happy to see you. 🙂
Always enjoy my visits to your blog. 😊
Bravo!! Gorgeous shots, Amy.
I appreciate your comment, Isabel! 🙂
Amy, these are amazing images! And early photographer gets superb images! 😀
I think you can capture wild birds with camera only in the early morning. Thank you so much for like it, Indah/! 🙂
Amy that is incredible to capture the fish in the bird’s mouth. I’m quite certain I would have captured the sky or the ground in my excitement.
I saw the fish when I open the photos on my computer. I was lucky! Believe me, I had to delete tons of blurry bird action shots because of shaky hands and fingers (from my excitement). 🙂 Thank you for visiting, Sue!
What a great surprise to find this one Amy. Good for you. 🙂
i love watching the cormorants, and this was surely a great moment to witness in person!
I was lucky, didn’t expect any action like this one. Thank you for visiting, z! 🙂
great timing Dear Amy…:-)
Thank you, Sriram for spending time here.
What a moment Amy, amazing how nature is!
I takes some luck to capture it. 🙂 Thank you, Maria.
Amazing shots, Amy. You did it again with the birds. And you told a great story too 🙂 Did the hijacker get the fish in the end?
This one is fun. 🙂 He got it, it’s showing on the last photo. I suspect he does a lot to young birds, but they learned. 🙂
Oh, what a big bully that bird is. Then again, if you want it, you got to go for it…just like how you go after your shots, Amy 🙂
herzliche Grüße, Klaus
Vielen Dank, Klaus

Brilliant captures, Amy!! Wow!
So glad you like it! Pure luck 🙂
The birds are magnificent and looking very wonderful with their wings spread. You put this post together well, a short story in its photos, Amy. It made me sad that animals sometimes share their food, other kinds don’t! Hugs, Robin
They have to fight to survive sometimes… 🙂 Thank you, Robin! 🙂

These action shots were a surprise to me. I was at the end of the lake trying to capture the actions, but couldn’t see the detail until I opened the photos on my computer. 🙂 Thank you so much for liking it, my dearest friend! 🙂 ❤
Those are great shots – takes a lot of patience to wait for just the right one! May I ask what type of lens you are using?
Thank you for your comment! I used the Canon 70-300 mm . It happened so soon, I didn’t get a chance to maxi the lens, it was taken with 210 mm.
How splendid Amy ! You must have had really sharp reaction to catch this brilliant 🙂 Interesting to find out what one has actually managed to capture once home .. I can never see on the Camera LCD screen well enough Lol
Absolutely amazing photos. You were certainly in the right place at the right time!!
I was! I don’t know I’ll run into a scene like this again. 🙂 Thank you for spending time here, Tree.
You are so welcome Amy. I’ve had a hard time keeping up with my favorite pages (your’s is one!) this month….since I’ve been doing the A-Z challenge. I’ve missed visiting you! 😉
