Monday Walk: The Dallas Arboretum

The Dallas Arboretum is a 66-acre (267,000 m²) botanical garden.

Many events throughout the year, Dallas Bloom, Pumpkin Festival in the Fall, and now 12 days at night during Christmas.

I saw a few flowers in the garden, but, fall leaves added beautiful colors to it. 500,000 spring-blooming bulbs have already been planted, and over 3,000 azaleas will be up in the Spring.

The idea of paradise is a projection of wishes and desires that cannot be attained on Earth — a garden becomes its earthy reflection.

  1. Love the pumpkins and the Autumn colour, Amy! Are the trees lit for the 12 days of Christmas? I bet that’s a bit special 🙂 Thank you again for your beautiful photography. Your posts are always a treat. 🙂

  2. I love the Dallas Arboretum. We also visited during the pumpkin festival and plan to go at Christmas. Its interesting to me how 2 people can go to the same place and maybe even take the same picture but because we all see things from our own perspective the photos are very different.
    I really enjoy your photos!
