Where Have All the Flowers Gone?
For Jo’s Monday Walk
“On sunny days a moment overcast;
And comes that other fall we name the fall.”
~ Robert Frost
“He says that leaves are old and that for flowers
He says the early petal-fall is past” ~RF
–After a good rain,these white flowers are burst in its last beauty.
….
On sunny days a moment overcast;
And comes that other fall we name the fall.
He says the highway dust is over all.
The bird would cease and be as other birds
But that he knows in singing not to sing.
The question that he frames in all but words
Is what to make of a diminished thing.
~Robert Frost
“The Oven Bird”, 1916
(RF expressed the passage of time through the Oven Bird.)
These photos were captured during my trail walking. Almost all the colorful flowers have gone, but nature is presenting different types of beauty for the fall. You don’t want to miss Jo’s FOUNTAINS ABBEY AND STUDLEY ROYAL . Beautiful abbey and scenes.
Have a wonderful week! 🙂
