Summer Lovin’ (Portland)

“It was a soft, reposeful summer landscape, as lovely as a dream, and as lonesome as Sunday.”

  1. Oregon, eh? No wonder it looks so cool. I know you’re always gleefully showing us how different Austin is to Dallas, climate-wise, but I was hard pressed to imagine this very temperate landscape in Texas, Amy. What does it really look like down your way now? 🙂

    • Sorry, I was on Skype for a long while… I remember our conversation about Austin. We have hills and small rivers down here. But if we want to see mountains, we go to Colorado. People in Colorado believe Co is Texans’ backyard. 🙂 Btw, we had lived in Colorado for years before we came to TX 😕 Right now, we are in summer (unbearably hot in the pm), but at the work place, they keep the temperature at around 65 F degrees, I have to wear a sweater. Well, we are pretty much living in the AC building during summer. 🙂

  2. I LOVE that waterfall image. Love how that there is a slight break in the middle of the stream – looks as if the waterfall has a life of its own. And I’m sure it does. It is also lovely how the green moss/grass is gleaming at the bottom of the waterfall – like it wants some attention too. Great composition and contrast.

Hope your having a good weekend, Amy. It’s going way too fast for me, as usual 🙂

    • I read you comment again and again, it’s more beautiful than the scene. You have wonderful writing talent. I love how you can always express eloquently. Thank you so much, Mabel! Time goes fast for me, too 🙂

      • I had to read your comment more than once, Amy. Nah, your photos shine through, as per usual. That’s what you’re good at. I love writing but a lot of the time it’s hard to get the words out. Drafting this week’s blog post today, I don’t like what I’ve written…yet.

Have a good week, Amy. New week 🙂
