The Casa Mila was constructed between 1906 and 1912 by Gaudi. The design is an icon of Modernisme.

Juliet in Barcelona, Spain?!… since when? 😉 she’s been in Verona, Italy for centuries! 🙂
I agree with others. Perfect architecture for the theme and beautifully captured.
Thank you, Sue! Appreciate your support 🙂
Being a designer, the stone work on this building is simply amazing. Thanks for sharing this wonderful photo!

Marvelous photos for this week’s theme. Thanks Amy for playing along with us.
Thank you, Cee! I didn’t think I could find any photo for this theme, until I saw these two images in my file 🙂
Great photos, Amy! I love the glass frames and mosaic details on this building. 🙂
I’m a Gaudi fan. His work is the epitome of Art Nouveau with the elements of nature and whimsy combined.
Well said about his vision of using nature for his design. Thank you, Sally!
Love it and love you photos!
Thank you so much, Cincy!

Thank you, lola! Alway happy to see ya 🙂
Great photo! It looks like the building is falling apart 😀 But stone stands strong, so I don’t think it will topple over anytime soon. I wonder what it looks on the inside.
I does look like it’s falling… I heard it’s beautiful inside, but we didn’t get a chance to visit.
Thank you for stopping by, Mabel 🙂
I’m sure you’ll go back someday and have a look inside, and you’ll have to show us all. I’m sure we’re all wondering what it looks like inside 😉
Thanks for sharing! I love A. Gaudí and his unique works! Bye. K.
Thank your for visiting, K! Gaudi’s work has created a new vision for the architecture.
3h-drive from Toulouse: we took there all our foreign guests, so I know this amazing city by heart… ❤
only 3 hrs. how wonderful!!
Squiggly it is! What did you think of Barcelona, Amy? 🙂
Barcelona, what a great city! We had a great city tour, and I was overwhelmed…
I remember your beautiful photos of the city.
I liked it so much, Amy! You saw some places with really different characters in Spain, didn’t you? 🙂
We did, probably not as many places as you visited. We pretty much follow the tour guide for several hours. 🙂
OMG…I think I am in love
I thought I was… Happy to see your, Jo 🙂
I’ve been a fan of Gaudi for years though they thought his designs were mad.
Sooo .. they’re a little odd but very original. You are very fortunate to have been able to capture them in person. A bucket list item for me.
Perfect entry for the challenge … good job. : )
Gaudi’s vision was way ahead of his time. I felt very fortunate to be there. Thank you so much for your comment, Isadora!
What a fantastic building, great capture.
You couldn’t have selected anything more perfect for this challenge Amy.
Love this building.
