Marcado de San Miguel in Madrid is a phenomenon food market, a fun place to stroll while munch…

We were at the market between 5 pm and 6 pm enjoying various tapas before our 9 pm dinner. Our tour guide said that dinner at 9 pm is early in Spain, “We eat late dinner because we eat all day long.” 🙂

Happy Friday! 🙂

  1. okay – the food photos are great – but also leaving with two very tasty quotes:
“There is no sincerer love than the love of food.” –George Bernard Shaw
    and
“We eat late dinner because we eat all day long.”

  2. The markets in Spain are simply amazing. When we were in Barcelona a few years ago, I kept wishing I had a kitchen and we have vowed to go back and stay a few weeks in a condo so I can go to market and bring back some of those treasures to cook! Great shots, Amy!

  3. Just starting ‘catchup’, Amy. I couldn’t remember where you’d been but it all clicks into place now. And thanks for reminding me about Lisa’s challenge. I’ll have to see what I’ve got for next week. 🙂

    • Bars and restaurants were busy serving tapas and drinks before their late dinner. One night, hubby and I went to a restaurant in Toledo at around 9 p, we were the only customers there until 9:45 p. 🙂
