Jo’s Monday Walk: River Walk

April SAT-11

“Wanna go to the River Walk for a walk?” Mr. Duck asked. “That’s a great idea…”  Mrs. Duck replied.

This is such a beautiful time of the year, and it was the Fiesta week.

There are many restaurants along the river, we always enjoy the famous Mexican cuisine.

The River Walk continues to expand and improve, in 2011, it was extended by several miles with 20 bridges. You can walk one section at a time or walk the entire 5 miles and take the water taxi back.

    • These two birds really enjoyed the walking. I take a few photos while watch them, and they did not mind 🙂 Glad to know you visited the River Walk before.

  1. *tears* OHHHH to be next to you walking this glorious place with you. Oh, Amy!!! How magical the River Walk is. How lucky you are that you have something like this where you live. I love Mr. and Mrs. Duck. We too have a Mr. and Mrs. Duck. I will have to try to capture them next time they stroll in our backyard for birdseed. (((HUGS))) Amy

  2. Amy, this is lovely! Which river is it? (pardon my ignorance!) 5 miles is just about right for me these days, and a boat ride back- yippee! I would love to do this one, and your photos are gorgeous. Many thanks, hon. Enjoy your ‘week off’ 🙂

    • I’m glad you ask, it’s San Antonio River. The initial idea was a solution for flood in 1920s, and it was rejected 😕 Now it’s the landmark of the city. The city has never stop improving and developing the River Walk. This is also where people celebrate holidays, Christmas, New Year, Fiesta… 🙂 Have a safe and enjoyable trip, Jo!
