A Word A Week: Island
Sue’s A Word A Week Challenge is Island.
Isola Bella looks like a stepped pyramid from the lake.
The Borromeo family has owned the Borromean Islands since the 16th century. They have turned their islands into magical retreats with elaborate villas and gardens. The Isola Bella was named by Charles Borromeo for his wife, Isabella.

The first and second shots are my favorites. The whole island looks like a delicate tiered cake, and such an intruiging mix of stone walls and green living walls. Beautiful!
